About

Hi! I’m Aziz Burak Gülen. I am currently a William W. Elliott Assistant Research Professor (Postdoc) at the Department of Mathematics at Duke University, and my mentor is Prof. Ezra Miller

I earned my PhD in Mathematics from The Ohio State University. My thesis advisor was Prof. Facundo Mémoli, and here is a link to our research group at OSU: Network Data Analysis Group.

My research mainly focuses on the foundational aspects of optimal transport (OT) and topological data analysis (TDA) by utilizing tools from category theory, algebraic combinatorics, operator theory, and spectral theory.
